Gears TV is one of the largest piracy operations of its kind ever prosecuted by the U.S. Department of Justice Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS), which worked in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to target and prosecute the operators.
