ACE Successfully Shuts Down Popular Illegal Streaming Site Flixanity

August 27, 2021

Los Angeles, August 27, 2021 – After a successful investigation and communication with the operators of Flixanity, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the world’s leading coalition dedicated to protecting the legal marketplace and reducing digital piracy, today announced the official termination of the service.

Flixanity was a popular streaming site that had been operating since 2015 through various domains. In recent years, the operation was expanded to include several domains that bear names similar to other popular pirate brands to attract more visitors. Over the last year, traffic to the Flixanity-connected sites had grown tenfold with 29 active domains connected to the service.

All domains related to Flixanity have now been transferred to ACE and are redirecting to the Watch Legally section on the ACE website.

The theft of digital content is the single greatest threat to the global audiovisual community. It harms both local and foreign films and businesses, threatens jobs, undermines investment, reduces tax contributions to governments, and stifles creativity.
